Marth Transportation Inc. was founded in 1984 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Marth Wood Shavings Supply Inc. As such we initially were a private fleet hauling wood shavings to farmers throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Since that time we have grown to be a common and contract carrier hauling for many large customers in Wisconsin to the Southeastern/Southern United States. We have a large fleet of trailers to handle almost any need except flatbeds.

The Wenzel Family brought the craft of sausage making from Germany to Wisconsin more than 100 years ago and since the company's founding in 1949 in Marshfield, WI that heritage continues.

Today, the company manufactures more than 30 products under its own name, and manufactures private label products for companies throughout the United States. Our award winning products are recognized every year at the annual Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors convention.

Marth Wood Shavings began manufacturing clean animal bedding from recycled wood waste in 1958. The benefits to animal health of such high quality bedding may seem obvious in hindsight, but at the time it was a real innovation. In the decades since, our innovative approach to creating value from wood residuals has led to the development of an expanded variety of animal bedding products – as well as entirely new product categories.

Earth Wise, LLC came out of Marth's experience of over 20 years in renewable biomass pellets and the number of inquiries that we received on larger systems. We decided it made sense to invest in this company to educate, share options and provide appliances. Our current energy situation is complex and people don't understand that thermal heat represents 1/3 of our nation's energy. We many options to consider for renewable energy, but biomass provides a unique opportunity in our region.
